EMASS is a Massachusetts Not-For Profit Corporation originally created in 1995 and incorporated in 2008. EMASS is managed and administered by a Board of Directors all of whom are volunteers serving without compensation.
EMASS provides a means of recreation and social opportunities for men and women by offering slow-pitch softball games in an organized, competitive and safe environment. While all games organized by EMASS are played with the intent to win, we strive to insure our Members have a positive, fun, athletic, and social experience, and compete and play in a sportsmanlike manner.
Our Mission Statement is as follows:
While all games organized by the Association should be played with the intent to win, the goal of the Association is to ensure to the best of its ability that the Members of the Association (i) have a positive, fun, athletic, and social experience, and (ii) compete and play in a sportsmanlike manner. It is an essential principal of the Association that all games and activities be conducted in a constructive, non-criticizing manner and to ensure that all members are treated with respect and dignity, and are provided a fair and equitable opportunity to participate.
